David Calef is theDirector of Client Engagements

at the Advanced Strategy Center driving

the use of electronic brainstorming tools

and methods, achieving successful

collaboration and feedback sessions with

a broad cross-section of domestic and

international companies.  With a strong

background in Communications

Mr. Calef served as the Press Secretary

to the Prime Minister of Yugoslavia during

the war years. Prior to the

Advanced Strategy Center Mr. Calef was a Director at KPMG for 17 years providing advice and counsel to Fortune 500 and Global Fortune 500 companies on a wide variety of strategies and tactics for communication, collaboration, market research, and management, including executive and board level coaching and development.  Mr. Calef pioneered new methodologies of corporate market research while a Vice-President at Penn, Schoen & Berland, a boutique New York based research company.  Prior to that he spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry working with the Chairman and Board of Directors on international acquisitions and operations. Mr. Calef holds a Director certificate from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), has Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan.  Mr. Calef is a native of San Francisco, married with one child, and is on the Board of Directors of the Integral Yoga Institute of California.  He loves to spend time with his family skiing, sailing, and teaching yoga.​ 

Carl Lundblad is the Director of Client

Center.  Carl is a seasoned executive with

strong business development, network

and strategic alliance development,

training and team building experience in

theHealthcare, Technology, and Non Profit Industries (youth, education, and healthcare focus).  Carl has over 20 years experience in the healthcare and technology industries, spanning hospital and long term care systems and foundations (strategic and business planning), medical equipment manufacturers, medical software firms, and Internet driven technology solutions firms (ranging from his own start up web based firm which launched one of the nation’s first college search portals, to a publicly traded solutions consulting firm, USWeb/marchFIRST).  Carl has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master’s in Health Administration from Duke University . He is a member of the Arizona Technology Council and is active with the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley , recently having served on its Board of Directors and Executive Committee.  Originally from Annapolis , MD , Carl loves to hike, workout, spend time with his three children and coach youth lacrosse

Center and is widely regarded as one of

the top meeting facilitators in the country.

He is a pioneer in the use of electronic

brainstorming methods such as our

Advanced Strategy Lab tools, and has personally facilitated over a thousand strategic sessions for fortune 100 clients across the country and literally around the world. Mr. Griffen founded his own firm DS Griffen & Associates in 1996 after spending some 19 years in IBM in a variety of marketing, technology and development assignments. Articles on his work have appeared in Inc. Magazine, Delta SKY, Quirk’s Marketing Review, the Arizona Business Journal and the Research Department Report. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Sterling Award. He has acknowledged expertise in strategic planning, leadership development, organizational development and high performance coaching and mentoring training. Mr. Griffen is a native Arizonan, married with four children, and is an avid runner and biker.
